About Diana Claire Photography

My name is Diana and I started working for Paul Cryan 8 years ago.  I met him as a Preschool Teacher when he came to photograph the school.  Some of my responsibilities for Paul were managing his business, editing and preparing the photos, assisting him at the schools and taking his Makeup and Studio Photographs.  Paul left an incredible impression on so many and will be missed with his retirement.  I am so grateful for him endorsing me to continue his tradition of Black and White Portraits.  I am blessed that he has given me all the equipment to do so.  I truly love photography and children and I hope that shows in my photos.  I decided to name the business Diana Claire Photography because my Mother and two daughters Lilyen and Emmalyn also share the middle name Claire. They are very special to me and the name reminds me of the bond we have, where I have been and what I am working towards. Although Paul told me I could take the Cryan name I chose not to.  I am humbled by this opportunity and appreciate all the support I have received.

I've been really excited to introduce the Online Galleries.  I strongly feel that online is the best way to deliver the photos.  The benefits are convenient ordering, there are more options for choosing, easy access and sharing with friends and family.  Most Photographers these days use Gallery Viewing Platforms with proofs.  Proofs are images uploaded to a gallery to review for purchase. They are not the final creative product. The final product will be edited and possibly cropped more.  The main purpose of proofing is to determine which images you like the most and should be prioritized for retouching.  The proofs simply provide you a good sense of what each image look like to select for purchase.  Providing online photos gives me the opportunity to offer more options and time is not wasted editing unwanted photos. Working for Paul for so many years I spent a lot of time editing and processing photos that did not get returned or paid for which was a waste of paper, ink, and time.  I love that online gallery viewing allows the opportunity to provide more options for viewing and choosing.  I always felt bad the past 8 years limiting the photo choices to just three different poses when there were other good options that no one ever got to see or choose.  I have chosen the best photos that I have taken per child for each gallery.  I do the best I can in a little amount of time to capture each child.  The amount of proofs may vary for each gallery.  All photographs are protected by copyright.  All gallery photos are watermarked and will be removed after purchase. 

All purchases will be edited and possibly cropped more.  All photos will be printed on the same quality Matte Photo Paper in the Studio formerly known as Paul Cryan Photography.  The watermarks will be removed after purchase. Taxes are included in prices listed. Payment options are online or by check. If paying by check please choose the Pay Later option. Checks can be made payable to Diana Claire Photography. Please write your Child's # from the gallery for reference on the memo line of the check. Sibling orders can be combined to pay one check.  It can be mailed to Diana Claire Photography at 40 Avon Meadow Lane Avon, CT 06001. Digital Photos will be emailed to one email address.  A photo release for reproduction in any manner and media is available if needed.  Please allow time for editing and preparing after all purchases.  There is no timeline provided.  Mail or pickup are the options for printed orders.  The Platform I use will default to pickup at the Studio for orders to avoid shipping fees being added to the order. There is no additional charge for shipping fees.  All printed orders will be mailed unless specified that you want to pick them up.  In the Notes section at Checkout please + Add Note to Studio to let me know that you prefer pickup.  We have a large mailbox located outside the main entrance of the Studio that you can pickup at your convenience once notified that it is ready.  All orders will be processed in the order received for all the schools.  I am doing my best to photograph the schools with Paul's retirement and also continue to process and print the photos myself.  We have never sent out to labs like a lot of photographers do.  As a business of one I am doing my best to continue this tradition.  My intentions are to produce photos that bring families joy and give back to the schools.  All photo sessions at the schools are Fundraisers.  Thank you so much for your patience during the creative process from photographing to picking them out and preparing each online gallery to editing, printing and delivering.  I love all aspects of the business.  I hope that shows in my work and you enjoy it.  I really appreciate everyone's support.
